Gail strengthens on reporting 42% rise in Q2 net profit

GAIL (India) is currently trading at Rs 529.60, up by 19.95 points or 3.91% from its previous closing of Rs 509.65 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs 511.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 551.35 and Rs 510.05 respectively. So far 625401 shares were traded on the counter.\
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 512.30 on 30-Oct-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 310.00 on 18-Nov-2013.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 512.30 and Rs. 476.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 67749.38 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.11% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.01% and 2.32% respectively.
Gail (India) has registered 42.29% rise in its net profit at Rs 1302.90 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2014 as compared to Rs 915.67 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased marginally by 1.36% at Rs 14418.53 crore for Q2FY15 as compared Rs 14224.37 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
GAIL is India’s flagship natural gas company integrating all aspects of the natural gas value chain including exploration and production, processing, transmission, distribution and marketing and related services.
